For three decades Sarah has honed her craft with stitch, paint, and line, working in textiles to create pieces for clients. Now, she brings that experience to painting on canvas. In these pieces, the focus shifts from external depictions to internal expressions. Each painting is an impression of a being or event, a visual echo of an emotion she has either lived or witnessed.

Through a rich tapestry of line, color, and symbolic imagery—often inspired by her Scottish heritage—Sarah explores the unspoken emotions hidden beneath the surface. Her deep connection to textiles and the land is woven throughout her art. A sheep farmer who spins, dyes, and knits wool from her own flock of Shetland sheep, she incorporates representations of knitwear and textile techniques into her paintings. Using vibrant colors and patterns reminiscent of Fair Isle or Shetland styles, she evokes her female lineage and a deep, knotted connection to nature.
