INDULGE IN A CRAFT WEEKEND ON THE ISLE
This year Sarah Campbell is running a series of craft workshops on the beautiful island where she lives and works.
Her courses offer you the opportunity to explore a delightful corner of Scotland as well as learn new skills in a warm, homely environment.
"Thanks for a fantastic weekend. Exceeded my expectations and they were high! Looking forward to doing some of my own felting now and the next workshop."
Accomodation in Carnie Cottage is dorm style with 3 or 4 people to a room. For more privacy you can either camp or book B&B.
"I'm wearing a fantastic pair of slippers that I wouldn't have beleived I could have made in just a few hours and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It is so novel and liberating to just be able to focus on something creative, uninterrupted, for a whole weekend."
ROAD Give yourself 4 hours from Edinburgh and 3 from Glasgow. Check www.calmac.co.uk for Ferry times from Port Appin and Oban
RAIL There is a service from Glasgow to Oban which meets the ferries to Lismore. Buy tickets for the boat at the ferry terminal in Oban.
Sarah will collect off the 6:20 boat from Port Appin on Friday and drop off at the 2pm boat on Sunday. If you plan to arrive or leave on other ferries please arrange a ride with Dorothy (taxi)
